Terms and Conditions for Booking with A2B Leicester Taxis™
1. Introduction
These terms and conditions govern the provision of airport transfer services (“Service”) and other passenger or courier transport services provided by A2B Leicester Taxis. By completing the booking form and utilizing our Service, you accept these terms and conditions in full.
2. Definitions
- 2.1 A2B Leicester Taxis™: Located at Kerrysdale Avenue, Leicester, LE4 7GN, and licensed by Leicester City Council (License Number: PHO-0024).
You/Your: Refers to any individual, company, or entity that places a booking with us.
Service: Refers to the ground transport services provided by A2B Leicester Taxis, including any installments or multiple services.
3. Booking Procedures
- 3.1 It is your responsibility to book your taxi with sufficient time to accommodate airline check-in requirements and potential traffic delays. A2B Leicester Taxis cannot be held liable for delays resulting from insufficient time allowance or if passengers are unprepared for collection at the scheduled time.
- 3.2 Ensure that you order a vehicle suitable for your number of passengers and luggage. A2B Leicester Taxis cannot guarantee transport for excessive luggage. Note that children, regardless of age, are counted as passengers.
- 3.3 If a vehicle booked is unsuitable for your intended purpose, A2B Leicester Taxis reserves the right to cancel the Contract or suspend further deliveries without liability. If Services have been provided but not paid for, the full payment will be due immediately. Additional charges may apply if incorrect information was provided at the time of booking.
- 3.4 Please notify us at the time of booking if you require transportation for a wheelchair.
- 3.5 Any subcontracted companies may not make representations or claims regarding the Service unless confirmed by A2B Leicester Taxis in writing.
4. Pricing & Payment
- 4.1 A2B Leicester Taxis will provide a quotation based on the details you supply. All quoted prices are exclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise and may be adjusted for changes in itinerary, passenger count, or vehicle type/size.
- 4.2 Additional charges apply for diversions, with a minimum fee of £5.00 per diversion. Quotes not booked are valid for 12 hours. A2B Leicester Taxis reserves the right to alter prices without notice, except for confirmed bookings, which are binding.
- 4.3 The quotation includes a 45-minute waiting period post-landing; subsequent waiting times will incur standard charges. A2B Leicester Taxis will attempt to check for flight delays but is not obligated to do so.
- 4.4 Upon accepting the quotation, you will receive a booking confirmation via email or telephone. Please review the confirmation carefully and notify us of any errors; we are not liable for delays or costs arising from incorrect information.
- 4.5 For round-trip transfers, full payment is required during the first leg of the journey.
- 4.6 All airport journeys (except for return trips where A2B Leicester Taxis has previously transported you to the airport) must be prepaid at least three days before the travel date.
- 4.7 Payments can be made via credit/debit card (subject to administration fees), cash, or cheque (with a valid guarantee card). Cheque payments must be received at least seven days prior to travel.
- 4.8 Bookings made on December 24, 25, 26, 31, and January 1 will incur a 50% surcharge on published fares.
5. The Service
- 5.1 You are responsible for the behavior of all passengers in the vehicle. A minimum charge of £100 will be applied for cleaning costs in the event of soiling.
- 5.2 Eating and drinking in the vehicles is prohibited.
- 5.3 Smoking is strictly prohibited in all vehicles under the Health Act 2006.
- 5.4 All children must be secured in appropriate restraints for their age and size, and parents should provide suitable child seats whenever possible. The driver may retain these seats for the return journey at no extra charge.
- 5.5 A2B Leicester Taxis and its drivers will not carry more passengers than permitted by insurance and licensing regulations.
6. Cancellations
To cancel your booking, please contact A2B Leicester Taxis as soon as possible via email.
- 6.1 Cancellations made more than 72 hours before the travel date will receive a full refund.
- 6.2 Cancellations made within 48 hours or on the same day will incur a full charge with no refund for payments made in advance.
7. Liability
- 7.1 A2B Leicester Taxis will make reasonable efforts to ensure timely arrivals but will not be liable for delays caused by external factors. Under no circumstances shall we be liable for any indirect or consequential losses.
- 7.2 A2B Leicester Taxis and its drivers are not responsible for loss or damage to your luggage, which is carried at your own risk.
- 7.3 A2B Leicester Taxis reserves the right to cancel services and provide refunds in case of emergencies or unforeseen circumstances. In the event of vehicle breakdown, we will attempt to arrange an alternative vehicle as soon as possible.
- 7.4 You agree to indemnify A2B Leicester Taxis against any losses or damages arising from actions of passengers in your party.
- 7.5 Liability for death or personal injury due to negligence is not excluded or limited by either party.
8. Termination
- 8.1 A2B Leicester Taxis reserves the right to refuse or terminate any booking if it poses a risk of violence, damage, or abuse. Passengers will be required to vacate the vehicle safely, and no refunds will be issued for terminated journeys.
9. Miscellaneous
- 9.1 A2B Leicester Taxis may subcontract its obligations under this Agreement. You may not assign or delegate your rights under this Agreement.
- 9.2 A2B Leicester Taxis may amend these terms at any time by posting updates online. Please review them regularly to stay informed. Existing bookings will adhere to the rates quoted at the time of booking.
- 9.3 A2B Leicester Taxis will handle your personal information in compliance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
- 9.4 This Agreement represents the entire understanding between you and A2B Leicester Taxis regarding its subject matter. In case of discrepancies, the terms of this Agreement shall prevail.
- 9.5 No part of this Agreement confers any rights on third parties, and no third party shall have rights to enforce any provisions.
10. Governing Law
- 10.1 This Agreement is governed by English law, and both parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts for any disputes arising in connection with this Agreement.
Privacy Policy
We are committed to safeguarding your privacy in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. We collect personal information to process your booking and provide optimal service. Marketing communications will only be sent with your consent, and you may refuse such communications at any time.
We will collect information such as your name, address, phone number, email address, and payment details for service purchases. Sensitive information will not be collected without explicit consent.
